In late 2016, actor and friend of CFF Elijah Wood and business partners Daniel Noah and Josh Waller added another ally/partner, Lisa Whalen, and spun their horror production company SpectreVision (Cooties, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, The Greasy Strangler) into the multi-media Company X / SpectreVision. One of the goals of this new venture was nothing less than to change the direction of film, which the partners believed had become a business of two extremes—the multi-million-dollar budget blockbuster and bare bones indie. Company X wants to make films of all genres that fall into a middle ground. The first project under the new banner is Bitch, which played at CFF in 2017, and four films are scheduled for production in 2017. In this special keynote, Whalen, Noah and Waller will discuss the vision of Company X.
